The Naturopathic Science & Policy Summit is being convened by the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges, and the Naturopathic Physicians Research Institute, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, preceding the AANP Convention at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix. Naturopathic leadership will focus on how the profession's research capacities and opportunities can impact governmental and corporate health policy. How can naturopathic research drive evidence-informed policy for healthier patients, a more effective healthcare system, and a flourishing profession? Hear about progress in other professions with Ian Coulter, PhD, Samueli Institute Chair in Policy for Integrative Medicine RAND Corporation on lessons from the success of the chiropractic model and from Lorraine M. Jordan, PhD, director of research for the American Nurse Anesthetists Association on how outcomes-research paved the way for her profession, as well as from naturopathic activists in licensing and insurance. If you are interested in the advancement of the profession, plan to attend and participate in the discussion. For more information, click here or email Carlo Calabrese.
